Can Gateway Fault Code?!

Hey,

I have just got my cable from Ross-Tech and ran a full auto-scan. I have done nothing to the car since owning it (at 63,000km), but there seems to be a CanBus coding error. Full scan is below, can anyone help? (I forgot to save, but the radio doesnt error anymore, it has standard 310)

Snap. Mine shows that too and I was going to send my log off to Ross-Tech but have not found time to do it yet.

Also when I change the number of flashes the indicator gives from 3 to 5 - it stays on 3, even though log shows 5. Need to investigate that further.

All good....nothing seems to be not working...so not really too bothered...I am putting in the new canbus in a few weeks when the RNS510 comes so I will see if something else comes up then when reprogrammed.

I do find it funny though how it gives it a fault priority of 1!! when it seems to affect nothing :)

Your gateway has been incorrectly coded to say you don't have a radio. If you look at your module listing you will see it says 'radio - status not registered'. Basically this is telling you that the car knows you it has a radio but for some reason it's been told that it doesn't (or something around those lines). Why that is I can not tell you.

On your Multi Function Display (MFD) bring up the "Settings" menu.
Select "Factory Settings"
Your Courtesy Indicators will now flash 5 times.

Thanks OzTrekker. Would have been awhile before I thought of that. Didn't have to do that on the Polo. Now to decide on whether 5 is too long or not - give it a week or so and then compare to 4 flashes.
