Fault code

Hi guys I started the car tonight. Then 20 meters down the road car lost all power. The car would shudder and struggle when i would accelerate. Feels like it has lost a cylinder. I smelled smoke. I pulled over had a look at the engine bay and couldnt find any leaks. Drove it very slowly home. 20-30k/hr.

Thinking it could be coilpacks or fuel pump. Is this pricey to fix? I need to put it on a tow truck and hopefully wont be too expensive to fix. What do you guys think the problem is?

Ran a VCDS scan and came up with the follwing fault code

16684 - mutiple cylinder misfire

Any ideas

16684 indicates possible cause :
Spark plugs
HT Leads
Injectors
Ignition Coils
Low Compression
Wiring.
Sorry I can not be of more assistance, go steady before buying new parts .
