Is there anyone in Brisbane who can help with some VCDS changed.
Just needing to switch on an RVC in a Golf MK6.

I thought I could use the cheapy cables from ebay, but after further reading it seems they are only for older cars.

thanks

Hey mate,

I'm over your side of town (moggill) and have a Ross Tech Hex+Can. I'm a rookie with VCDS but I've managed to hook up an RCD510 and 9w7 bluetooth to mine so far with MFSW and Cruise Control to go. I'm down with the flu at the moment but I should be alive again in the next day or so.

EDIT: With the long coding helper it really shouldn't be hard at all. I threw my ebay cable in the bin, was totally useless by comparison.

MattRoss just PM'd me and is after an airbag light sorted, so perhaps we can have a threesome sometime?

Happy for anyone to take a look at it.
Hopefully it's just a 5 minute job for mine.
Bigdave is close to my place and he might be free in a few days, so I will see how we go.

Thanks again for coming round Dave.
Good to meet a fellow enthusist.

Programming took us less than 5 minutes I reckon.
Took a while to do the scan and clear out all the errors I caused by removing the entire fuse box :-)
Not sure what VW would have charged me or done if they had seen them.

Just hooked up the LED number plate lights.
Will see how they go, but first impressions are that they are not needed.
Photos will be in the RVC install thread.

thanks

Did you need an interface or something or did the camera connect directly into the rns?
