The time has arrived when I have to part with my MK2 Golf GTI.

Here is a list of what I think you want to know...

Genuine Australian car
Tornado Red
5 door
3 owners from new
No holes in any of the interior panels
No holes in rear shelf
Paint is in excellent condition
Central locking
Alarm

As you can see on the photos there have been some subtle changes.
Wheels
front indicators cristal
Rear lights cristal
Door handels MK3
Kn high flow filter

I have all the original parts to put the car back to stock.

The only bit of damage on the car is to the lower part of the drivers door.
The last owner told me this was done opening the door onto an object.
(can not remember what type of object).

Please feel free to ask any questions and I will try and answer them as quick as possible.

The price....Well I would like as near to £4600 as possible....

If someone from interstate needs help I will gladly give it.

Thanks Rob.

Man that's very tidy, there was someone very recently from W.A. chasing either a Mk 1/2, hope he sees this one.

Wow, that's tidy.

Is that an uprated/larger MAF housing you've got the pod filter bolted to? i.e. from an older BMW?

Ok as of today the MK2 GTI is back on the market.

The member on here told me he would have the money to pay for the car within a few weeks so I thought I was doing the bloke a good turn and removed it from the for sale section.

Well today he did not even manage to call me and chat about things he sent me a text to say he will not be having the car now or as good as!!

There was a couple of people that sent me messages about selling but because I thought the member would not mess me about I told them someone had bought it.

So if anyone fancies a nice shiny MK2 GTI in red please get in touch.
I will help if someone from out side South Australia fancies it.

Thanks Rob

That member would be me... It's always interesting to see how something ends up... What you are not being told is that a $250 deposit has been collected, after settling on the asking price, in the knowing that I would'nt be able to pay for it instantly. What was also said was that "as long as it's paid for and collected before christmas that'll be fine". If that was not ment then tell me!.. I've also offered to send what money I have through so that bathroom renovations can begin but heard nothing, hence the txt reply! I would dearly like to own this car as (for those prospective buyers reading this, it is very clean and as described) it would match my other red Mk 2. The reason for delayed collection is a large tax bill due to an employer muck up (not my fault). Which would you pay? Anyhow, there's the story from my side, and yes I know having to wait is anoying. Sorry for that. I would still be able to find the money before xmas, but if it sells in the mean time, so be it. Simon.
