He's using the same set up front and rear, thats what I'll do to the rear of my manx, use the front Mcpherson struts.

Agree, but I imagine it must sit very flat on the road.

Would love to see video of it on the track when its completed!!

This needs to be bumped, the build up is 30 something pages strong now. The guy is doing some amazing engineering on it. Well worth the look.

I can't believe that the guy is only 21, he has so much patience and attention to detail and his welding skills are pretty incredible.

I flicked through all 33 pages mostly looking out for his posts and pics, did anyone catch what he does for a living? I know he says its his first time fibreglassing and a few other things but his welds are way too good for a beginner.

I have a feeling he is an engineer of some sort, he is making up some awesome custom parts.

apparently he has a whole raft of family who are extremely skilled. eg, an uncle fabricated his roll cage, so i guess he'd do the majority of welding (like those awesome wishbones!!) although all that custom fibreglass fabrication... :o

You know that feeling you get when you spend ages fabricating something - its close to how you want it. Then you weld it and the welds turn out crap and it distorts and things don't line up anymore and all the hard work just doesn't turn out the way you wanted it to. You grind it a bit and "persuade" it to fit. And then you look at this guys work...

That is AMAZING! Thats some amazing work and going to be nuts when its all finished. Some of the best fab work ive seen! And hes soo young, wow!

Yep, not sure about the body kit. Without it it would be a real sleeper.

I knew a bloke back in England who did a similar thing with an Escort RS Turbo. Fully built chassis, tune turbo engine in the back with around 300bhp, the exhausts exiting through were the number plate used to be. It was an animal. Went like stink in a straight line but was useless in the bends. Suffered from understeer and viscous snap oversteer, was almost impossible to control. Chassis set-up is a nightmare.

Good luck to this fella though, will be an awesome dub when its finished.

I also knew a guy who used to have a green MK1 golf with two 16vavle engines in it... Went like stink, looked ugly as the rear end was all messed up putting in the engine, but boy that car blew away most things in it's class.

I prefer the street sleeper or Euro look myself.

I love power, but I don't reckon it substitues a good looking car.

Both is best.

MK1 euro look with a VR6 in, now that is a fantasy of mine:eek:!

I know what you mean. I wanna build a classic looking big bumper Mk2 with a vr6 on wide BBS RS splits. Bit of a cliche now but i still love that look.

Wow, that guys build is amazing. I love his wheels and tyres! And he looks like the type of guy that would own that sort of project, lucky b....d...:D

I wish I could do something like that!
