Hi guys,

I have recently purchased a 1994 VR6 and the speakers in the front doors and on top of the dash are Buggered.

I have tried searching with little success, could someone please post a DIY for speaker installation in the doors and dash for me?
It would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Hayden.

6.5's in the front, 4's in the dash or a tweeter if you want. I ended up just using the cables that were there for the old speakers, so its as easy as just swapping the speakers over.

So the grill's on the dash will pop up if i get a screwdriver in there?

and the door cards are just like regular cars? Pop the clips undo some screws and lift it off?

cheers hayden.

Hi Fred,

I managed to get the grills of with my keys. I just slighty wedge the grill up from the drivers seat at the front of the grill.

Then with the grill levered in the air slightly, put your fingers underneath, wiggling and lifting at the same time.

The grill tabs should pop out nicely and not break, they didn't for me.
