Was just reading a mini article about this is the latest Motor mag... Looks fantastic & is technically a GTI (Mk5) but with a lower price tag - In the UK at least... Hopefully it'll be the same in Oz when it goes on sale next year.

it'll be big inside, very comfy, etc etc.... but unless it's a cabriolet, i dont really see the point of getting this over a gti, all things being equal...

Thanks for posting that - did I hear correctly in the video that the Beetle has a proper mechanical LSD, or are they referring to the electronic diffs fitted to the GTIs?

Looking forward to this arriving in Australia - a cutesy Beetle shell wrapped around a Stage 3 upgrade will go very nicely as a sleeper.
