Just came across this on the Carsales site and thought it would be of interest to fellow oilers :)

VW unleashes the ultimate express-delivery van (http://www.carsales.com.au/news/2011/commercial/volkswagen/caddy/vw-unleashes-the-ultimate-expressdelivery-van-24414)

If it fits in a Caddy, it'll fit in a Polo...;)

very cool - looks like a replacement for the old one but not much else new!

I wonder what they did to get 200kw and 512NM out of the 2.0TDI ..... need some of that magic for the Multivan ASAP ....

According to what is written in the article it has been achieved by remapping and a miltek exhaust, it doesn't mention anything else having been done :)

Yeah, I certainly don't believe thats all that was done ..... otherwise all 2.0TDIs would be running around making 200kw ... well those on this forum anyways ....

I'm sure it wouldn't produce 200kw for as long as you'd expect your road car to.. ;)

Well, Audi got 118kW out of the old 1.9 PD TDi for the Seat Cupra and that was in road trim so if you don't mind an engine that needs a lot of rebuilds...

I'd be happy with a Cupra spec engine in my 9N3 TDi

Im sure it would if it was built to spec. There are people running 260hp in the 8v 1.9tdi reliably. The GT TDI with a DPF delete and tune will nudge 180kw

read up on club TDI. There are plenty of people in Europe and the US running 200+hp from the 1.9PD

Done that.

But I'd love it to have a factory warranty.

There's a difference between reliably and "I want to get 300k out of my engine" is more what I was getting at. I know it wouldn't be a hand grenade... :)

Have you seen the crazy H beam and I beam rods you canget for the TDIs now? Nuts!! Pretty sure DM Forged (INA) are doing them too. Insane looking bits of kit!
