Is there a way to put in better bucket seats into a GTI ? I like the optional recaros in the R32

Sure, we have one that we bolt in / out of our GTI's all the time. They are a 4 bolt mount, so pretty simple if you have a good engineer to do the mounts for you (or buy pre-made ones).

Now not legal for street use unless engineer certified so keep that in mind. Oh, you will need to reset your airbag light also after you reinstall the factory seat.

Hi Parky, we dont sell them, but let me see if I can photograph something for you.

The important thing is to find a seat that suits your purpose firstly, we run some Velo's, some Cobra's & some Recaro's & all have slightly different mounts - once you have found the seat, then the engineering starts.

This is what the Sparco off the shelf ones look like:

Not expensive but generally not stocked in Australia :

You can get bucket seats which airbags, which negates the stuffing around and get a nice seat for daily activities and the safety.
