Hey Guys,

I had a chance this evening to head out and take some quick shots of my new Polo GTI, whilst it is still relatively clean from the recent detail, plus the sunset was just gorgeous, Enjoy! :D

Great shots of a great car. Everytime I see new photos of a 5 door I know I made the right choice.
The red looks pretty schmick too.. definitely would have been my second choice.

As a side note, I notice some people blur their number plates when posting photos and some do not. Is there any real danger of posting your number plate? Just wondering for when I get mine :).

Not really. Then again, there's the story of Rebecca Schaeffer who was murder by a crazy fan. He paid a private investigator who obtained her address through the DMV. (Rebecca Schaeffer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebecca_Schaeffer)) But there are laws that prevent that sort of thing now. No amount of blurring is going to stop an unscrupulous person getting your details anyway.

I think blurring of number plates is just a thing people do for peace of mind.

Hi, I'd love to 'borrow' these pictures for PoloDriver.com – they're great!

We used some from another user a little while ago: Readers (http://www.polodriver.com/polo-2009/readers-drives-roxanne-turner%e2%80%99s-polo-77tsi-comfortline/)

If you're interested in a mini-feature, let me know, either here or by PM at rich@polodriver.com

All I'd need is a few details, what Dubs you've owned in the past, and of course, the pictures (which would get a full credit of course).

Hope you're pleased with the GTI!

Best wishes,
Rich

no more than driving around with it for everone to see :)

the yanks have taken it to a whole new level of paranoia - i was watching something on fox last night and they had footage of cars in the 1930's and they'd burred the plates

Thanks guys!

Rich Absolutely, have sent you an email.

yeah i use to not care about plates, but decided that its a cleaner look for these types of photos, so just removed them :)

Great shots Gambit, Golden light really brings out the warmth of the red and shows the contours of the car nicely! :)

Gambit.. What size plates do you have? Are they both slimlines? The front fits perfectly within the space

Hey Schibs, yeah they are both slimlines front and back, did not realise they were a perfect fit, as dealer had ordered them in for me.

Quality ;) I will definitely get slimline fronts then and pehaps normal size back, more space. Cheers mate ;) looks flash
