As I am intending to seriously attack the outback next year in the Bora and knowing that ground clearance is not the Bora strong point I am in need of a sump guard.

Some where out the waterpumper land does any one know where I can buy or have one made?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for that. I have sent off a query to Brian asking about one to fit the 4 motion.

An plan I couldn't recomend enough, when my old man was driving his 4 motion we had to replace the sump twice.

Luckily the low oil warning works a treat:o

Now he drives a toureag:)

I got mine for the R32 from Diesel Geek and am very happy with it. It's saved the sump on numerous events.

Not sure if they have one to fit the Bora.

Looks good, I wonder if there is anything local though ?

Otherwise they look good as my sump already has a nasty rash ! :)

To be honest, I didn't know there was one. Certainly it's not on any of the options lists I've seen. I'll follow up with the dealer, but I'm not keen on paying out any more Dealer Tax as it is. :)

OEM VE Skid plate for R32 and other MKIV cars

ETKA Info - fits any MKIV

Part Numbers, Install Guide and pricing in US dollars.

I've been through this excersie and it was much cheaper ordering the Diesel Geek one as it comes with all the hardware for around the same price as the plate from VW is without the hardware..
