The only reason I know about Amaroks is because I have an interest in vw. How do vw plan to make inroads in the Hilux market when there is no advertising for the Amarok. All I have seen is demos sitting outside dealerships, I may be crazy but I don't think vw has any chance with this sort of advertising.

Yep, and all advertising is umder embargo until then so we can't advertise it yet.

The whole idea is to get the enthusiasts through before the public at large start going for it...

Ive seen a massive billboard for it at Essendon Airport, next to the Tulla Freeway. And I mean massive.

Yep, those billboards are the 'pre release teaser' marketing. The real marketing including TV will only start on the 9th of April

So here's a question to all those dealers out there. How many Rok's have been sold since they hit our shores? It would be interesting to see what rate of sale has occurred without the broader community knowing about the product.
On another note what is the current delivery time for the Baseline, Trendline, Highline and dare I ask the Ultimate?

Sam are you guys any closer to knowing when you'll have an Ultimate on your lot?

Cheers

Well done - for both selling 4 units and being the only dealer to respond ;-)

From what I understand, there are 800 initial units (across the range) for 2011. of which 650ish are already sold.
