Answering GolfLoon and some other members speculation, the passing of the MKIV leads to our new Sportline 2.0 TDI!

Delivered late this afternoon, here she is!

The man has seen The Light ;)

Well done, Mick. Welcome to the Diesel Club.

Our cheeses are now being served at the venue in your pic :). Maybe we could slip in there for a quick beer an a cheese sandwich next time I'm in Hobart? Preferably on the day before my op :(

Thanks guys, we are sure we made the best decision.

Have to meet up with you soon for sure Brackie.

It is a 6 speed manual.

As for a mods list, I am going to keep quiet on that for now, but no doubt they will slowly appear in due course! :D

I was thinking, theoretically if you get 1000 km per tank, you are going to be at the dealer being serviced as often as the service station filling up!

lol so true!! with my dads Polo you cant remember when you filled up last... all you know is that it was sometime in the past month j:
and when it hits the red zone for the fuel level, you know you have at least another 150kms in it LOL.

Hey Mikinoz nice ride, i also see you have a new 'euro' plate that reads
TUR804, well as i have a 5cyl TDI i got the next one coming next week,
TUR805, how uncanny hey, now chip it and be done with it!

Very uncanny indeed.

We wanted TUR804 for future 4 clinder turbos, or pass it on to someone like my sister and her WRX in the future.

Now Andy, become a Superchips dealer and I will buy me reflash from you! ;)

I have had them for some time these blue vision globes, they just replace the original globes.

I think that they are 50-70 dollars per pair?

Just under 3 years and we clocked 60k today. I got an interior steam clean yesterday and dan will do stage 2 on the exterior next week.

I drive this car more now than previously and love it like when we got it.

I'd say we will sell in about 18-24 months for something in the van category.

So it seems after some further discussion that it is close to the time for her to go. A really distressing time for me as I am very fond of this car. I will be preparing her for the market over the next few weeks.

I'll probably need to buy a MK2 (or similar functional small car) with working air-con for summer until the replacement VW arrives late Q1 next year.

Watch this space!

Don't get a MK2 if you want A/C that actually does something...
