steve, can we please have all the details posted up here???:?

Yeah why do we have to goto another forum to read the details. If you want us to go, please post details here.

We always post on other forums with a formal invite, not a link when we organize a cruise.

So no-one has organized this and you don`t know anything and its this weekend. Surely that makes this a pointless post then?

Anyone promoting an event needs to give full details in as much time as possible to let those of us with families try and schedule the time.

sloth--Thanks - here are the revised routes if you could check it out for errors around that area etc that would be great, thanks.

I have suggested the Sydney group meets in Sydney at the Shell heading South bound on Roberts Rd Sotuh Strathfield / Greenacre.

Liam and Steve will sort out the CBR meet point.

Also, where will both groups meet and at what time ? Feedback / ideas please. If we said for both groups to meet at say 11am somewhere near Mac Pass, then each group needs to arrange their departure time from their respective locations to be able to make the meet point time.

michael-Robbo Pie Shop @ 11am for a meet point?

Only trouble with that is that you get to do Mac Pass and we don't.

floody. How about we meet at Mittagong Maccas? Sydney people we can take the Mittagong exit instead of illawarra, and Canberra people can take the Colo Vale turn off, turn right over the Hume and then take the same Mittagong exit.

Jim I'd give the Sydney meeting point a miss, too much back tracking.

who said this??hehe-------
I went up the M5 but I was doing spirited runs with 4 people in the car at about 180km/h.... Spirited I'd say

funny--this was posted on the 27th--but no one had the time to transfer???:? sloth
The Rendevous point for Sydney and Canberra folks is the Robertson Pie Shop at 11am. It should take Sydney siders around 2 hrs to get there so we will leave our Sydney Meeting Point of Shell (Southbound) on Roberts Rd Greenacre at 9am SHARP. Canberra crowd please contact Liam (minigolf) for your departure time and meeting point from Canberra as I am sure it would need to be earlier.

We then travel up Macquarie Pass together, at the end do a u turn and come back down, then travel down Jameberro Mountai nRd to link to Princess Highway

Our next milestone location is the pub at Berry for lunch (travel via Princess Highway)

Then after lunch we head to Kangaroo Valley, through to Kangaloon, snake our way to Suttons Forrest, then CBR go left to go home and Sydney Siders right on the Hume Highway to head home.

I trawled all through that mess and this is all I could find that was relevent to the cruise.sorry to say,but we have a few texers(new and old) here that are posting on there as well and nobody had the time to repost the critical details here.maybe there was no desire to have us going as well loon??no probs!!

Thanks for clarifying that George. Where is Robertson? and is Berry the furthest point that us Sydney siders actually goto. We are not actually driving to Canberra right?

sorry loon, they did have a link on the bottom of their page 3,,here is the link
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=roberts+rd+greenacre&daddr=jamberoo+mountain+rd+to%3Amacquarie+pass+to% 3Atongarra+to%3Apheasant+ground+to%3Aberry+to%3Aka ngaroo+valley+to%3ARobertson+NSW,+Australia+to%3Ak angaloon+to%3ASutton+Forest,+NSW+to%3ARoberts+Rd+G reenacre&sll=-34.681782,150.682983&sspn=0.277806,0.466919&ie=UTF8&ll=-34.713678,150.786324&spn=0.138849,0.233459&z=12&om=1

Yeah looks like a hell of a lot of driving. I`d rather do less driving and more chewing the fat and drinking the beer :) Not much point going on a cruise if you dont get to speak to anyone.

DubSteve
29-05-2007, 09:29 AM
The 30th one will be bigger as its a dyno day aswell so drinks and food will probably be flowing around.

bit late for me to organise other arrangements for this weekend fuzion, wife is working and such as long cruise is not so kids friendly(also concerned with the speeds that might be done).sorry mate.might try to do a half course if loon can also make it.
it seems that VWW is remembered when there is a event that requires some type of payment, but when its a lowly free cruise, details are scant..alot of us work and have kids so we need as much notification as possible.
thanks for the invite guys,,,will consider the cruise to canberra.
id like to see a VWW event organised soon to catch up with all our syd members.

180kmh with 4 ppl in the car

I read that to. Hope that doesnt mean that everyone is expected to do these speeds on the cruise. Dam thats scarey to have 4 people at that speed. Plus with the police going through forums as they do i wouldnt be admitting it thats for sure. I hope it wasnt anyone on this Forum.

DubSteve
29-05-2007, 07:06 PM
No one is expected to do any of those speeds, that person probably did those speeds some other time like it says. The cruise is like it says it is a cruise so you cruise ;)
