Dinner GTG - Friday 4th March

The long-awaited Sydney GTG is now here! We've planned to hit up Abbotsford Rowers Club @ 613 Great North Rd, Abbotsford for dinner on the Friday 4th March, 7:30pm. It's very easy to get to - if on Parramatta Rd citybound, turn left onto Great North Rd (where Five Dock BP and McDonald's and the Audi dealership are situated); or if on Victoria Rd citybound, take the first left after Gladesville Bridge and continue onto Lyons Rd which turns on to Great North Rd.

Everyone is invited and everyone is welcome. At the end of the night, we will be either going for a drive or take some photos so it's not just a dinner!

If needed, I can provide my phone number in case anyone gets lost/don't know anyone. The problem with previous monthly meets is that most new people don't know who to look for, so if you have someone's number it'll make things a lot easier!

P.S. Thanks goes to Dom for the venue and some of the others for the initiative!

Na guys no need to book, pretty much just order at the bistro and slide in wherever you can fit your backside. Hopefully if its not too busy we'll get a good spot. Dress code is like any other pub/club anything goes besides singlets i think.

The B-52 is unlikely to come around again as they are slowly being withdrawn from service to be refurbished or scrapped (but dont quote me on that )

The 25+ year old f/a 18s have been put into reserve operations until the replacement f-35's arrive in 2015/2016 . In the meantime we have some 25 f/a18f superhornets that started to be delivered mid last year .

Yes the Pigs will be missed . There are few aircraft that have the same long range strike capability of these aircraft .
It was the same with the retirement of the Caribou . 40+ years of service and there is no plane that has the same capabilities to replace it .
