Everyone who is a bush camper or sleep away in van overnight enquires about it.
We have ordered a few, but our first Good Night Package in a 4 Motion Multivan left the dealership today so we all had a good play with it to set it up with the excited owner , It Folds down into bed, window covers , it looks the goods. We also have a Multivan for immediate delivery with one in it & I took photos & emailed to Brasstinman who has kindly offered his computer expertise to post them on watercooled for you all to see.
Enjoy & hoefully it takes away the mystery for those who are wondering or PM myself with your email for plenty of photos

I'm looking forward to getting ours. Mainly for the under seat storage, window covers and the muti-flex shelf.

I brought my good night pack over from the UK in our container.
Now we have our T5 Multivan we can get some trips in.
First one is Victor Harbour SA at Easter.
Only 45 mins from home but its more like a test camp.

The good night package is great but you need to put another mattress on the top as it is not the most comfortable sleep you will ever have. The window covers take a few minutes to set up but they do a great job of blocking out the sun.I was a little disappointed with storage system under the back seats as the are still just trays under the seat,I expected draws like under the single seats.

So I take it that the Multivan "Good Night" package is different from the one fitted to the Kombi Beach?

The Kombi Beach "Good Night" package includes:
- magnetic curtains for the cargo area and cab side windows
- flip out style cover for the windscreen
- 2 seater bench/bed with full width metal drawer with second access through lift up seat base
- multiflex board over rear "boot"
- sliding door side module with integrated drawer (forms part of bed)

Here is a tip. In Picasa; click on your picture you want to show here, on the right menu click on link to this photo, select size of the picture (I use 400 or large), then select image only and copy (first left click on embedded image text get highlighted then right click) and paste it in your post after you click on the 3rd icon (which is picture symbol) from right on the top bar in your post window. :)

I found Picasa easier to use than some other image storing sites.

My good night package seems to be a bit different to the one you have on your photo`s.The rear window also has the tent pole set up.My side rear curtains clip on behind the window shades that rise from the doors to cut out all the light. The mattress on the multi flex shelf is dark grey vinyl and I have a dark grey polyester cover that goes over the seats in the bed position.

I have the Beach and would love to access the drawer through the seat top, but although it appears loose and looks like it should lift, my seat base cannot be lifted. Do you have one that can, and do you know for sure that it can be lifted.

Also is the table and sliding door recess of the beach part of the goodnight package?

I just want the drawers, sadly they are stupidly expensive as an after market part :( (and are glorified kitty litter trays). Would be very nice if they were like the 2nd row drawers. I'm quietly on the look out for a written off multi I can acquire the drawers and rails from (or will happily import the parts if I can find them cheap enough).

It's also worth noting you looks the luggage cover (in place of the flex board thing), which is a shame.

The flex board is going to be useful if you need a pram, as you can put it on the bottom and then luggage on the top.

Are you saying if you get the multiflex, you don't get a luggage cover??

Hi Brian,

My seat base definitely could be lifted to access the drawer contents. I had removed the plastic trim piece on the front of the seat (in order to use the rails closer to the door) and the fabric strap (left hand side) that originally limited the seat base travel.

I needed to remove the seat base prior to installing the bench in the rails closer to the door. Otherwise the seat base fouls the B pillar.

Cheers, MM

PS I had forgotten about the table in the sliding door. I think that may be a separate option.

I am now removing those bits also to allow the seat base to lift, that would be really useful to us, I can't imagine why they altered the original design to prevent that being used.

Amazing that we are still discovering new features after owning the beach for over 3 years!

I am the "excited" owner referred to in the early post. Now that I have played with the goodnight kit a couple of times I am able to set it up fairly easily but am still inclined to remove the 90Kgs of rear seat and simply throw an inflatable mattress on the deck. If I go camping I can then relatively easily remove and travel without the captains chairs, this will provide space for fridge etc. I thought also to leave the multiplex board in there, pushed all the way to the rear to store baggage at night. All sorts of possibilities.cheers

I'd love to get just a multiflex board on it's own if anyone is selling/knows where to pick one up at a reasonable price.
