Hi All,

I am new with my newly purchased 2008 Jetta at this forum.

I have been a VW lover for long time. I was with Sydney VW Club till few years ago. Of course I am thinking to go back to be member again.

I had 2 Golf MK1, Golf MK2, 1974 Super Bug, 1971 and 1977 Kombi, 1982 Transporter and also now have 1997 Golf MK 3 (selling it on Ebay now) and 2008 Jetta.

I have been visiting this site for a long time.I love the articles and discussions. I registered myself few years ago but haven't had a chance to spend some time to write or post threads. So, I had to re-register few days ago again.

I have a question about servicing this car. It is a 2008 model 2.0 FSI and the info I have gathered that the last service was done on 15,000kms. The car is on 26800 now and telling me to "service now!". I have rang NRMA Motor Service and VW Service places and they suggested that they could do the 30,000 now. But I thought it is bit early for that. Shouldn't I just get just every 7,500 service (whatever is involved on that service I am not 100% sure)?

sERVICE WILL BE DUE AT 30 000 KN,AS IT GETS DONE EVERY 15000 KMS.
