So when do I actually get to road test one of these?

Dealers are saying they'll have them on the floor in March 2011.

VW is telling us that there will be in dealership pre-launch events as we get closer. No further info than that at this stage, watch this space!!

The launch proper will be around the start of March.

So when do I get to see a single cab with a dropside tray then, if they only get here in march?

Single cab is hard to say. The initial launch in March is for dual cab bodies, the single cab is coming but when we're not sure. It's possible it'll be before the end of 2011 but nothing has been announced or confirmed even for overseas markets. I'd be willing to wager they'll be waiting for dual cab demand to relax a bit before they start sending singles down the production line.

There will be pre-launch models touring the country shortly, BUT they are non-compliance plate fitted & not drivable. A teaser until March ;)
