Hi there, going to make this quick, I got an old B1 Passat which is in the process of being restored, I need new suspension and disk brakes for it, planning on just replacing it all as they are all shot. Any ideas or recommendations on what type of suspension and disk brakes to get for the front and rear?? I've heard that the front and rear Mk3 golf disk brakes from a 97 model can bolt straight onto the original suspension, can someone clarify this.

the Mk3 rear disc Brakes bolt straight on, you will however need to get a hand brake cable made up!

MK1 GTI/Cabrio/Audi 80 brakes will go on the front.

Look through the rest of that thread, every thing you mention was done to that car.
