I currently own a 1992 MK2 Golf with what I beleive to be the ECU (and engine 2E) from a older model Passat. The ECU is even dated 02/94

Now one of the many problems I have is the fact that the O2 sensor was completly 'thrown' away when the 2E was put into my car.

Could anybody who owns a older model Passat confirm that these cars even came with an 8v 2litre (2E) engine?

I need to plug an O2 sensor into this....

BUT all 4 wire O2 sensors for Passats/Golfs/Carbio's all have a conection like this

:(

Thanks

Why would it be passat???
2E came in early Mk3s and SEAT Ibiza GTIs and other things too.
I Thank Ibizas and Cordobas have an 02 sensor that would plug into that.

Going from loose ends and from the little I can figure out.
h100vw hinted that the engine/ECU are from an Passat or even an early MK3 GTI.

I also came upon a ebay UK seller with this
Passat 2.0iL Digifant 1991-1996 ECU 037 906 022 ED on eBay (end time 20-Oct-10 11:40:59 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Passat-2-0iL-Digifant-1991-1996-ECU-037-906-022-ED-/110588581723?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19bf97d75b)

From the websites I've searched, all the O2 sensor male plugs are like the one shown above.
I came to the Passat section because I've asked all these questions in the Golf sections with no real luck.

Its becoming very frustrating not being able to find an O2 sensor that can simply "plug and play" like every other VW can.
