I've been told that there is no adjustment with the clutch on the POLO GTI.
Any one know better.

Anyone else have the problem of a creaking noise when they push the clutch in slowly? I thought it was cable and that was just the cable making noise inside its sheath, but alas it is hydraulic.

No, trust me...it's all good. I once had one of the original Mk 1 Golfs, with a cable clutch. In 2 yrs, I replaced that pharquing cable 3 times. This is my first veedub since :o

I have that too - got the dealer to check it out and aparently it's a trait of the car as the new one in the showroom was doing the exact same thing - have to learn to live with it!!!

someone care to explain what you mean by adjusting?

like adjusting how stiff or light the clutch to ur preference or something?

Usually, how low or high in terms of pedal travel before it takes up/engages

oh that makes sense lol

'cos the polo does have a pretty high pedal travel b4 it engages...

Is this the case for everyone else, too? I don't know if mine's just different - but the clutch reaches the friction point reasonably close to the full pedal travel - much closer than other manual cars I've driven.

Mine is relatively high up..... but then my car has an odd transmission and shouldn't be called normal.

Mine isn't too bad actually, but like it very close to the floor & being a Virgo I'm very fussing. I was just after a little bit of adjustment but it seems that its tough tuff luck hey. Hard changing your habbits when you get older.

I thought being far up was a better thing. makes engaging the clutch to change gears quicker:) maybe wrong but just thought that was a better thing than having to press your foot to the floor to engage it.
