I spend a bit of time on volksrods.com (http://www.volksrods.com/forum/) and i feature i really like there is the
"Members Intros and Project Updates" section they have.
New member introductions and project updates...
Your ongoing "journals"...
Replies to other members' threads are disabled in this area to keep build threads uncluttered.
Whilst i am sure everyone loves to hear feedback about what they have done to their cars...
most people do it for their own enjoyment not the validation of others
like to share what they have learned about their car without the hater comments
it is good to be able to read modification threads with only the pics and details from the owner
it saves having to skip pages of "nice work" type comments and you can focus on what has been done instead
These threads are great especially when they have been going for a couple of years you can read from beginning to end without threads going off topic etc.
Just slightly different way of doing the " Newbies Corner - (First Posts)" that i really like
