I would choose the polo for it's German engineering and the fact that the interior quality is much better.


The issue is with the exterior looks imho.
I saw one from the back and i couldn't pick it from an older model echo.
It has lost it's VW looks and now fits the generic asian compact style.

Couldn't believe the DSG Polo, was 5 seconds quicker in acc test up hill than the Mazda 2, which I believe was a manual. The surprise for me wasn't that the Polo won, but the fact that new I20 Hyundai struggled, think they perfered the Yaris which is nearly 10yrs old.

Not too hard to believe when you stick a turbo engine in a light weight car and pit it against a bunch of non turbo cars imho.
I have been in my mates 2 and it takes a while to get up to speed.

This is where VW get points.
