not even a c as poverty a spec as you can get I came accross it whilst looking for a mk2 1.3 for my at the time teenage sister for a first car. This lhasa green mk1(strange in itself as the colour was never available for the model came already fitted with a 1.3 and a 5 speed conversion and with intergalactic 198,000 miles. Appearing solid I bartered the guy down as there was a couple issues with brakes and tyres and tags etc and we agreed a deal. Filling out the forms for transfer and checking the paperwork out the car had remarkably only done up to 48,000miles when the guy fitted the 1.3 and wishing a rev counter swapped out the dials for the rev equipped non-mfa 1.3 dials...immediately adding 150,000 miles :brutal: but got me a good mk1 for my sister :)

Found oem lhasa green front wings,a set of oem plastic arches as one of mine had parted company although im looking into berg arches or at least a clipper kit,currently having the(jettta's)seam welded and powdered)rear beam fitted with polo stub pins and rear drums,a bigger master cylinder and new in-tank lift pump and external main fuel pump and possibly the(jetta's)powdercoated eibach ARB's ive had lying about along with (the jetta's)fk konigsports with a view to getting it track ready for next years track day sessions and ive been promising myself a nurburgring trip for ever and 180na horses should be quite fun round a track.

as it reads ive pretty much just robbed my jetta off everything but after deciding to go 16vT with the jetta and fitting the early part of the un-needed stuff from the jetta I had a rethink as the golf is now hardly a day to day car,its very harsh already,the engine even just as an NA(fully polybushed)has your teeeth rattling from the initial key turn and not what I want from my jetta which is why ive stole so much from its parts bin as I intend vr'ing it so much of it is redundant(strut brace will catch on the planned install,seats are not comfy on a long run[over 5 hours is a definate no-no]the good bits off this engine would need changed going to a 16vT anyway so that would have been a waste as well and pretty much more excuses in the same vein :p

no excuses really,I absolutely love this one. Its mad noisy,very uncomfortable,fairly impractical,never really runs right but is SO MUCH fun. I grin looking at it whatever wheels its on,break my jaw grinning whenever I get it out and will not part with it until I probably end up totalling it or something stupid:P

I love my OZ's,theyre the same period as RS's and just love how chunky they look plus being one of @6 or 7 sets in the uk theyre a bit more different from the usual,ive currently got them on my mk2 with my RS's lips but ill be pulling them back to bits over winter and replacing the current stainless lips(as on my mk2)with alloy ones. Im a big P lover :s almost had a full set off them all last year but started selling them before I got carried away,I think I had mk1 6x14 pirelli's,mk2 6x14 pirelli's,8 slot 6x14 pirellis with metal caps and two sets of 15's(both 9 slot 5.5" scirroco versions)sold the 8 slot 14's and my mirrored 15's just before a set of 8 slot 6x15's came up for sale :o

as for my passat...loved it,20vT fjord blue,should never have sold it

What suspension was in it matey?

fk highsport coilovers,rear adjusters and spring seats removed and fitted a thumping huge bass box to drop the back more and front levelled to suit,far easier to drop an A4 than a Passat,the rear suspension is the same as A6's so other than air your looking at a custom pair of pigtails or some careful mods.

In other news all the parts for my mk1 rear beam are ordered and should hopefully be ordering the new fuel pumps and master cylinder soon as well :)

Resurrecting this a bit,cars currently running but about to go under the knife. Ive been sourcing parts most of last year for a 20vT conversion plus further upgraded parts than what is already on it and ill try and keep it updated as things move. I doubt if itll see any major road use afterwards though as its going to be almost solely for my local track.

swirl pot turned up(same as pics)with the wrong fuel connections so its getting changed

and got a new berg kit as I wanted to run fibreglass wings as well and it didnt make sense pot rivetting fibreglass to fibreglass especially when the guy I bought the og kit from started doing a combined wing and arch. Ordered it in a british racing green gel coat to avoid white stone chip speckles and also got the front dam although still unsure whether to run with it or a more aerodynamic front

Managed to pick up another couple sets of wheels and parts but progress is a bit slow just now. Hoping my next leave cycle will be a bit more productive. Had to take a couple weeks off there work to let some personal stuff play its course and the motivation took a major hit but. Next trip home im going to try and get some of the new bits on
