Golf Vs Polo - Which Parts are interchangeable?

Does anyone know where to find info on which parts of a Golf GTi are interchangable with a Polo GTi?
There are so many Golf parts available 2nd hand, but I can't find any info on what will/will not fit my 9N GTi.

Specifically, anyone know if the Golf seats can be swapped with Polo seats?
Or if the head units are interchangeable?

You'll find a lot of the engine parts from a Mk IV Golf are the same but not a Mk V.

The part you've posted looks pretty generic though. You'd have to check the thread dimensions somehow to see if it will fit...

In terms of bodywork and interior similarities, there are few.

If you assume most things are not compatible, you'll be starting in the right place.

From memory the Polo gearstick is held in with a worm screw, so I'm not sure the extension would suit.

The seats would be dependant on the rails, alternately, have a look on the Polo UK site, they do some interesting things over there (including BT builds).
