So as some of you know, the Mrs managed to crash our beloved A4TQ B5 Wagon.

I have a penchant for fast wagons as well as appreciating the usefulness of them with small children.

So with a bit of help from Shannons insurance, hoorah for agreed value, we just snapped up this bargain.

Snaffled it from Queensland and a big shout out to Beau for driving it down to NSW.

Its a 2L Turbo, Quattro Avant, 6 Speed Manual with everything.

It actually suffered a blocked oil pickup and so has just had a fully rebuilt engine, new turbo and lots of other bits. It was not even run in until it did the drive to Sydders.

First impressions were that it was not as nimble as the B5 and feels more bulky.

Slapped our wheels on, but will need some different bolts to make the change permanent.

Drove it home today and this thing is rapid when you get it angry. Some kid in a WRX who tried to cut me off was a little dissapointed in his car :)

It drives totally different to the B5 and is like a grown up version.

My favorite accessory is the fact that it has a tape player as well as a CD changer in the front. Damn I have a lot of old music on tape :)

Pretty happy so far.

Nice one Matt, a little lower and a touch more poke on the rears and it will be quite pleasing to look at.

Amen Brother, first time I have ever come out ahead with insurance.

Hey Chris, Do you do the rear lower spoiler for the back of the wagon, but with cutouts for 4 exhausts??

Nice family ride Matt....been eyeing-off one of those (or an R32 Passat wagon) for Bronwyn for a while...but the Suby Outback is too reliable and with under 100k klms. it'll last us at least another 5 or so years) can I borrow your Mrs. to stack it for me ??? :emo_baghead:

Ok, so got a bit bored with the 17" BBS and the lack of Poke.

Have been looking at wheels for a while, decided I didnt want RS Reps made in China, all other options were a bit boring.

Scored these on Ebay, totally lucked out, no spacers needed, beautiful offset and absolutely no scrubbage. Plus I think they look great.

Had to get 4 new tyres as the ones on the rims were too big, settled on a 235/35/19. 4 New ones and this is what we now have :)

Well happy and untold less cleaning :) :)
And the Mrs likes em!

Also remembered that I swopped a bluefin kit with a customer and so flashed the car last night! Wow, it picks up faster, has more balls midrange and top speed comes up scary quick.

Agreed, looks fantastic. Being the American on the boards I have to make the obnoxious obligatory statement; time to go lower...

Thanks Chris, probably time for the headlights and the rear valance panel. then it will be perfect.
No point going lower, its the wifes car and at the moment it rubs nowhere.

Had a sneaking feeling that you nabbed these.

Looks fantastic Matt.
