I've seen a few aircoolers have been having a go at this & there is also a 36hp challenged laid down for the fastest VW running a stock 36hp engine!

Whatever the VW shell maybe.

But I'm wondering if there is any of you out there that are interested, or have thought about building a salt lake (land speed racing) type watercooled car?

I reckon this is would be an awesome thing to build & enjoy going as fast as your car will allow!

I've thought about it. Would be cool. Sure looks like it would be a lot of fun!

The salt it tough on the gear, but.

interestingly enough I did consider building a Mk 1 Scirocco into a salt car, have a O2M diesel ratio box, and several different engine combinations to play with..

only the cash and time are missing to do anything about it....

I love the concept. It's one of those things I'd love to get out and see, at least once in my life, either here or at Bonneville.

Funnily enough, I've thought about taking a mk 1 there...
