All in all I really don't want too part with this car but it really isn't what I need right now.

It would suit from a fanatical VW nut, a connoisseur of sporty hatchs, right through to a learner / P-plater Chick thats scared of BIG BomaDores perimeter in the local supamarket carpark,
A very neat, economical car at a great price

I really love it and am pretty sure I'll regret selling it.

URGENT SALE - I need funds and already have a second car for work

THIS is the car I keep seeing on my way home from work, we must live a few streets away from each other (you're in greensborough yeah?). I've got the black MK4 with Aristo replicas, our cars look so similar :)

out of interest did you just replace the springs to lower it? if so which springs and hows the ride??

Yep sure am, Just moved to Gborough in DECEM, nice hood... I hvnt seen your car mate?
I'm just off Henry.....LOL

Springs are Eibach lowered for a 2ltr, Got them from a guy who'd had them fitted to his car, thought they were too high so sold em.
I chucked them in, yes they sat too high so I had them adjusted at Browns to exactly the right height.
The ride is Good considering, handles really well with little roll in corners and pretty good on the bumps, it's good low, no scrapes in arches, not too bad on steep driveways, you know what I mean...

You'd probably get ~$1000 for the wheels if you sell them separately and put the stockers back on the 1.6L - which'll then probably perform better for the unsprung weight reduction!

I know its been awhile since this last post on here but to note, it never had any issues with weight, this little 1.6 was a banger...!!

I now drive turbo Forester and although it does fang, the Golf was way more fun to drive...
Also I did remove and sell wheels separately, they were genuine Aristos and I got $2500 for them

I deeply regret selling this car
