yeah i was gonna do that but the misses kinda likes them...

do mudflaps actually serve any purpose apart from stopping mud from going allover the car......if you go in mud.......so on the road they dont do a damn thing...do they?

Well it does to some stopping of debris and that, that will fly off the ground. But if you don't dump the clutch or anything then you will be OK and not have to worry, I took mine off and there isn't much stuff at all so its good.

If you leave them on here you could do some damage to your tyres even worse the body work.

That's a beautiful looking mk3 there mate...

Is it just me, or is that a 3 slat grill on the front? Did they come on some VR's as well, or is it a transplant from a GL/CL?

Cheers!!!

Looks good mate. I reckon the mudflaps might stop external mud, but if you take the front ones off, you will get a bucketfull of soil from inside the guard that is trapped there, rusting its way out. I always p!ss em off.

Nice pick-up! Didn't notice that. I always thought the VR6's had the colour-coded 2 slat grille.

The flaps always rub on humps etc, so i think taking them off would be a good idea....as for the grill? im not too sure, but thats soon going to be changed to a debadged one. . .

Yeap they only came in the 2 slat grille, which means that it must have been damaged somewhere along its history, or thats a pretty good transplant :)

nice car there, leave the mudflaps, they look naked without them, unless the car is sitting an inch off the ground like they tend to do O.S.
