VR6 oil light

Hey. I'm new here. I got my vr6 bout 2 months ago, and love it, but have just had it serviced. Turns out my oil light bulb had been taken out by the previous owner. This is because its on. It had a faulty oil sensor and it was replaced but oil light is still on. Oil pressure is fine and the mechanic cant explain it. Everything seems to be fine. He sayd next step is to get a new instrument cluster to fix the problem. Does anyone know what the problem could be??

Probably put the wrong oil switch in, there are two in different colours, you need both for the light to go out. Changing the cluster wont fix it.
