Just a question guys,
if i wanted to track, is it better to get a seperate set of wheels? or if i just use the same road tyres, how long would they last --> assuming my first time run would be driving like a granny hehe

Bit hard to say really without a fair bit more detail.
Could be all 4 tyres explode 1/2 way through lap 1 or perhaps they'll last you 10 years.
That's about as close as I can guess with the information provided.
Tell us a bit more about yourself and your car and we'll take a stab at narrowing down the possibilities.
Welcome aboard!

It would be better to get some separate wheels / tyres for your track days.
This assumes you can afford some slicks and a spare set of wheels (few thousand if you want light rims and sticky tyres that will only last a handfull of track days).
If you are just starting out, you'd likely be better off with some street tyres that can handle a bit of trackwork (not semi slicks) and see how you go.
Is this for the Polo? I wouldn't worry too much about your tyres until you do something to the suspension (well, quite a bit really). On the track the stock setup is pretty poor.
