1980 mk1 Golf GLS

Up for sale is a 1980 mk1 golf GLS (not an impossibly rare 4 door GTI as the badge may indicate) :D

I bought this car of a friends friend intending to do some serious things to it, but lack of time and a serious lack of funds mean it needs to go NOW!
From what i know it used to be a Sydney based car with a Qantas pilot using it to and from the airport. It looks to be someones project from a while back because of the attention to detail, a different paint colour, custom interior, no cracks dash (i think most likely re-skinned) the chrome engine head and ofcourse the gti badge. I have barely drivin it but from what i can tell its mechanically fine. battery just seems to be on its way out.

holly ****... no cracks in the dash.. nice. whats the interior from? u need to upload photos to photobucket or something similar and then use the insert image tab and insert the image code.

im not sure, the trim looks very 90's so its either fully custom or out of something else by the looks of it. i think the seats are original VW. it also looks to have mk3 window winders on the two back windows. thanks but i dont yet have photbucket, il try and figure something out, but for now check out ebay for pics.

thanks Tim, with rust from what i have seen it has a little around the rear window on the tail gate and some on the rear wheel arch, other than the odd surface spot here and there it seems decent, none of the major A pillar, structual type stuff.
