Passat Hard to Start when Hot.

I have a lovely 98 Passat that all of sudden has got very hard to start only when hot. Required addtional accelerator then when starts ends up reving high.

Any ideas what can be checled thanks :)

Not mechanical, would not have a clue :D but maybe it has to do with coolant or air filter ????

First thing to do has to be a scan with VAG-COM for faults or problem sensors. Also what engine is fitted to the car?

V6 2.8 engine. Also just had a new breather tube fitted.
