I think you'll find it's well and truly on the road ;) :D

Your Mk3 is a great car - I saw it go through its build-up under a very well practiced hand :) :) I've seen it parked outside the Telegraph a few times when I've been working too.

Good stuff, Ricey! Found a couple of pics I had floating around! Time to get some 17s back on it.....I'm sure Amy will let you spend some money on the car ;) I'll let you know when a set of S3 or TT wheels pop up......some good deals about!!

This was taken as the finishing touches were being made! Still some glue, buffing marks and bits of trim missing!

Well everyone . . . the time has come . .

After weeks, lets even go as far as saying months!! i have finally got my new wheels on. (sight a breath of relief) :D
Many complications arose from the very start!
the wheels themselfs were purchaced from Melb over GodBay about early January. they did come with tires, how ever the profile was a little to big for my liking so Ed kindly passed a set that he had lying around.
problem number 2, the offsef of the wheels that was described in the ebay entry were not true !! so that ment there was no way the wheels would bolt up on the hub without touching on the brake calipers . . . SO what i did was order a set of 20mm spacers to counteract the lack of offset from my wheels. if you want the guy's detail's your welcome, because he was great to deal with (UK based). when the spacers arived there was a minor hick-up too, there was a small lip on the edge of one side which has to be files off (didnt take too long) BUT THEN!!! there was a massive $#%^ up when this garage in town put on new rear rotors a week earlier. the idiot at the shop realised that the hub was about 1/2 a ml to large for the wheel to slide over, so brain cell decides to DRILL out my inner wheel so it would fit!! now at the time it was my original 15" BBS that were drilled (not the newies . . thank god) anyway what that meant was when i whent to fit the 17's on there was no joy as the hub was still to big. SO i stompped into this place and in a huff and told him where to go, so he fixed me up no worries.
woooo and so, with no further a-do here is the finished product
(by the way, i should have taken progress pictures to show you but i didnt think of it HA! sorry) i might take a wheel off one day and show you all ;)
Enjoy . . .

Nice wheels!! I've never managed to find those wheels in 5x100 :( A lot of the ones I find were originally on the R32 Skylines! They're forged BBS wheels right?

Yes its a 2 door VR6!
The wheels, lets say were a lot of hard work!
Rewarded, however.

The car looks great! i prefer it with the wheels in your sig tho. I had very similar BBSs on my Liberty B4. That car had 5x100 as well
