Service Indicator

It has probably been asked a thousand times before, but could someone tell me how to get rid of the 'Service Due' reminder that keeps coming up every time I start the car (2008 GTI DSG)

The service was not carried out by the VW dealership this time.

It's in the owners handbook for sure, check service interval in the index.

Hold the 0.00 button on the right side of the instrument cluster down, and turn the key to 'ON'. "Service Now" will appear. Then release the 0.00 button, and press the MIN button on the left side of the instrument cluster once. Then turn the key off, then back on to see if it has cleared.
