This is the new facelifted Golf Mk4 by VW do Brazil to be unveiled officially very soon.

VWB have released teaser pictures ;)

The 1.8T will be upgraded from 134kW to 143kW (195hp).

Jetta Mk5 = Sagitar (rebadge) FAW VW
Passat B6 = Magotan (rebadge) SVW

Facelifted Passat could be the Passat Lingyu which is Skoda Superb based which is a LWB B5 platform. (SVW)

Also the Passat B2 is still sold & made in China as the Santana and facelifted version as Santana 3000. (SVW)

fuzion: the Chinese Golf Mk4 Bora HS has different rear and front ends.

Brazilian will have wraparound rear lights aka Golf Mk5 and Polo like front lights ;)

wow,now with those photos ,I have to say it so bloody ugly!!! whats with all those colour coded grills?? some designer just in from bbq's galour?? like the r32 style interior but the front makes me feel sick!!
it looks abit RAISED to me?? maybe for those markets they need to be higher to avoid landmines???

Hello folks, I'm new here !

I'm bringing you this info on the "new" Golf launched here in Brasil, as you probably will notice, it's a Mk. IV restyled by the local VW design team, as the Mk. V proved to be expensive to be produced locally

The GTI version had its power raised from 180 hp to 193 hp, and performed well, it matched the new Civic Si in the tests
