Ok, I'm being lazy here. I will contact the dealers and see what they can do, failing that I will take it into a local Euro car mechanic and see if he can help me.

I got a tow bar fitted to the Octavia RS wagon, as i plan on towing a yet to be built Enclosed bike trailer. I'm designing the trailer and have had mates who do a fair bit of towing tell me to go with the electrical Brake set up for my trailer. Obviously i need to have a Elec brake controller fitted to the Skoda, and knowing that it's a "special" wiring loom, I want to know if anyone has had one fitted and how it turned out??

Bicycle or Motorcycle trailer?
I wouldn't have thought that a bicycle trailer would have had enough weight to need brakes.

Motorcycle trailer, looking at making a 3 x dirt bike capacity, but a bit longer then normal running a dual wheel set up, something similar to this

In that case I can see why brakes would be a good idea. Thirty something years ago we never used to worry about trailer brakes when towing 4 dirt bikes or three 1000cc Production Racers but we never had to worry about the Monash Carpark then either.

I guess that if you can't get the electric brakes working there are always hydraulics.

Not sure about the electric brakes, but do let me know if you sensors disengage and the picture of the trailer comes up on your screen when the trailer is connected. Both myn and my dads MY10 have the same issue. Our dealer is trying to find out how to fix it from Skoda still. They said the wiring loom in the new RS is different to all the other cars including the old RS.
