Just for more information, what were the sales statistics related to the Ventos here in Australia? I just see so much more Golfs running around than Ventos that it almost makes me think that Ventos were privately imported or somethin'.

Yes, they were sold here. My mate Brian has one. They were priced around $5000 more than the equivalent Golf and had a slightly softer suspension.

Saw two today. A green one wearing 17" chromies (was moving so I don't know what they looked like) on Concord Rd (Strathfield) during peak time, and a red one in Eastwood. Both didn't pay attention to me so I'm guessing they're not a part of this forum... However, I did see a white Mk2 in the Ryde area that gave a passing glimpse :)
