Just also got my wheel alignment done. What I thought was torque steer before(kept veering to the left) was fixed through a wheel alignment. didn't realise $70 could make that much difference on a vw. :)

what i did is i disconnected the hose from the flapper, saled it and i sealed the other end (on the flapper body). Call it whatever you want, it sounds AWESOME!! :)

I'm new to posting here, I've owned a silver mk4 gti for bout 6 years now. 18" Lenso black 6 spoke rims with silver lip and centre peice. Looking into k04 conversion but have internal turmoil whether to spend hard earned money on the car I love or spend on something more sensible.

I have an '04 Golf Sport in Black. It's standard at the moment, I'd really like to put some rs4 style rims, or some other oem or oem style rims on it soon when tyres wear out. I also want to do swaybars too, but that will have to wait till I save some more.

It's nice to be in the mk4 club now!

check the insurance cost of the 1.8t 2003 or later model with NRMA.
it's considerably cheaper for that year for some reason.
i'm only paying a base of about $1400 and a bit (but i'm paying more for no claim etc etc), and that policy was 9 months ago so maybe it's changed or something since, but check anyway.

The exhaust is great, love the sound of the Bora v6. The exhaust was a bit of an accident at the time I was looking to put on a new rear muffler and a guy had come in to this exhaust shop I with an M5 taking of his Remus Exhaust that he had only just put on (his missus forced himhim to take it off) it ended up being a perfect fit although frigging loud I guess because it was off a V8.
My missus didn't like it either but she was so convincing.

I have actually had it since new, 7 years this year forked out $55k at the time and still love it.
I was planning on getting rid of it last year but I decided not to and I am going to put a bit of money back into it. So when I see prices now under $20k I think what a bargain. Will post some pics soon

Yeah the car doesn't really look any lower, but performance wise the suspension is awesome! Though I have already thought about different springs...
Out of the exhaust, TIP and suspension the suspension is the best mod. I don't know how people can say that a turbo back is to loud, if anything the APR system is to quiet!
The TIP, well it's there, I don't know if it made a huge difference. The car does feel a bit more responsive, but I don't know if that is due to the exhaust or the TIP.

black gti 2002 for me .....been spendin heaps on it too...front mount intercooler, k04 (yet to fit), injectors(yet to fit), fuel pump n adj. regulator, forge turbo inlet pipe, cold air intake k&n filter, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, adj. coilovers, 19 inch deep dish rims, sway bars front back underneath, new links control arms and bush's, polished inlet manifold, mishimoto alluminium radiator, diverter valve, 20% tint all round , sprayed tailights , angel eye headlights, custom gauge setup, short shifter, sprint booster plus a bit more ive forgotten...
a few of u might have seen my old 2002 wrx sti rego was UR2SLO it made 248kw atw on 18 psi was in fast fours mid last year ...i sold that to get this and got absolutely no regrets at all.....

Shortly will convert woodgrain to brushed aluminum fit 18" rims still deciding style and lower slightly thought about engine mods but prefer to keep my licence also contemplating side skirts and front and rear bumpers from ECS tuning...

Looking forward to meeting fellow vee dub enthusiasts on a cruise some time...
