Some of those fitting times are a bit tight :P

However, some like Bluetooth, are generous.

so, It's cheaper to buy an RNS510 kit, than a headunit. and $1290 for the nav DVD:eek:

Why can't I get paddles for my 118TSI DSG?

Sorry for going OT, but I've wondered if this would work. Anyone know if it would just be a simple swap to a GTI steering wheel and plugging in the necessary wires?

You can get the GT in Europe (which seems to just be the 118TSI) optioned with paddles, so should be possible I assume....

Can anybody confirm whether the 18" wheels are a locally fitted option, as opposed to factory? I was told by a local dealer today that VW have asked dealers not to fit them locally due to some sort of issue.... anybody know the deal on this??

There are more than 1 set of 18" wheels.

These 18's are factory fitted. The VW Motorsport 18" and any other 18" which you may wish are dealer fitted.

Thanks coreying - I guess it didn't make sense to me that some could be fitted locally, while those (the Detroits?) couldn't. Although still doesn't make sense, but at least you've confirmed he wasn't talking BS

You can order the detroits through spare parts but you're looking at around $700 per wheel.

Thanks for the info guys - can you confirm that the Detroits are the same as the Monza (shadows) referred to on O/S forums?
