I duged out a bit of history of Skoda Superb, these who bought Superb might be interested to know (if you already don't know it) that:

First Skoda Superb (type 640) was made in 1934 (75years ago). It was powered by 40kW in line 2491ccm SV (side valve) 6cylinder engine (well proven from Skoda trucks, type 206) and 4-speed gearbox that had synchronised 3rd and 4th gear. Superb had full lather frame, front and rear split axles and hydraulic brakes. There were 201 Skoda Superb build within 2 years. From 1936 and 1937 it was Superb 2 (type 902) it had 2703ccm engine 60kW and later from engine no. 46630 capacity was increased to 2914ccm (64kW) by 8mm longer stroke (but only in 51 engines). In 1939, 350 Superbs (type 913) were made. Car was very similar to Superb 2 but it was more modern, more robust and also 100-150kg heavier. In 1938 Superb was greatly updated again. It got 3137ccm OHV 62.5kW engine and by the end of 1939, 113 cars were made, named Superb 3000 OHV and another 162 cars completed between 1945-1949.

The largest production (1600 vehicles) Superb (type 952 and 956) was between 1941-1943. They were marked as Kfz 15 mostly with open military body, ambulances and as cabriolets. Military Superb had extra frame for body and 7.00 - 18”wheels.
