Hi there. I'm about to retire my Alfa 147 and after looking at Golf GTI's and 1 Series bimmers I've decided a Polo GTi is just what I really need. Am interested to know if there is anyone in Melbourne that does ECU/chip upgrades and what the rough cost is. Also thinking about 17" wheels similar to the Polo cup, which I'll talk to the dealer about but keen to know if anyone has other recommendations.

:D Welcome to the Forum. There are a few places that do what you are after, as mentioned, APR is one and Powerchip in South Melbourne also do it. And there is also another couple that eludes me at the moment. But follow the link below for PowerChip.

I don't want to bash and I have no first hand experience with them but a lot of people from other Australian VW forums have had very very bad experiences with power chip. Do a search on the Aussie VW Vortex forum for the horror stories.

Chipping is a very sensitive topic on any forum.
Just make sure that you do your research and that before you purchase the right flash/ chip etc. Good luck with your search :)

Just wondering if anyone does something like the "standard" 132kW upgrade...or are we all power junkies?
