hello all

i have been luking this forum for a while now. this year i bought myself a 1997 mk3 gl 2.0 its a tidy little car and drives very well. i have a few mods on the way, rear sway bar and front strut brace, next will be hottuning coilovers. stage 2 will be modded air box with kn airfilter and a custom cat back exhaust.

The question i have is i would like to upgrade the cam to some like this TT Tuning 8V Hydraulic Lifter Cam, 268° Street/Sport from the US would installing this cam be compatible with the standard computer? if not is it possible to rechip?

thanks in advance for any advice

Welcome to the forum mate,

Good to see your planning on suspension mods first before trying to get any more power out of the 2L. Swaybar, strut brace and coils will make a huge improvement to the handling, all of which I have done already and rather glad I have done.

Can't really help you with the cam question, but I am sure someone here will chime in soon with an answer for you.

Get some pics up aswell ;)

Hey Alex, im in the same situation.

I am itching to get a little bit more out of my engine also ie. 268' Hydraulic cam + cam gear (im guessing you have got an AGG engine also?).

Has anyone had any experience with these US-Spec parts and the same questions, do they fit? And does it work with out a chip?

**** with the AU$ doing so well, it would be great to get some kit from the US!!! =)
