Hi guys,

I am posting up my Bora 4mo for sale. It's a 2003 model with the face-lifted interior, which had the dark wood grain panels rather than the bright orangey coloured ones, and is all black leather (no tan). Comes with all the standard features:

AWD
6 speed
V6 engine (150kw stock)
ESP
ABS with disc brakes on all wheels
Leather recaro interior
6 stacker CD system, with 8 speakers (2 x sets of splits)
Sunroof
Sensored wipers
Auto-dimming rear vision mirror
Seat warmers
The list goes on

The car has 108xxx kms on it. I purchased this from a dealer roughly three months ago, and have only put 4000 kms on it. These really are a great car to drive, probably the most responsive car Ive owned.

I have a full set of struts waiting to go on, was planning to lower this car but havent had a chance to get springs made for it yet, and these will go with the car. The fronts are brand new Koni adjustables, and the rears are Eibach pro's which were purchased off a member on here with only 150kms on them.

All four brakes rotors are being replaced on Friday with DBA slotted rotors, as well as new brake pads going in.

The only other changes I have really made to the car have been putting 19" RS4 wheels on it, a full K&N typhoon induction kit, eyelids, Phillips X-treme vision bulbs (+80% brighter) and smoked indicators. I also purchased a set of smoked tail lights for it, but took them out after not too long as I didnt really like the look of them.

I am listing this for sale as I am looking at buying a house in the near future, and want to downgrade significantly to free up some extra cash.

Looking for $18,500 for everything

Will sell for $17,000 with the standard alloys and not the 19's, and without the new suspension and K&N intake kit.

Located in Coffs Harbour, NSW - but don't mind travelling to meet halfway or close enough to that.

PM me or post a reply with any questions or interest.

Cheers  Ian

Haha yeah my argument used to be you cant drive a house around! GL with selling yours, you had any interest yet? If you sell it, you know where to find me!

Over $1000 worth of brakes are going in tomorrow morning, should improve stopping a fair bit and will get rid of the horrible metal-on-metal squealing noise its making at the moment every time I brake!

Yeah fair bit, but most people only want to pay like 12k!! i know thats what the market value is but with all the air sensors and maf etc i just put in, and all the mods i've done its just not enough in my mind.

Lol, yeah got it up a bit closer today, someone else took my normal park so thought I'd put it there. Think if I went any closer to the highway I might get done by the council for advertising it like that.

Had a few, mostly time wasters. It's hard being in Coffs, no1 here really knows what they are, and since Ive debadged it, there's nothing on it that says what's in it till someone actually reads the details Ive put in the windows. I think JVL's 32 never selling is a fair indication of our local market. I was considering going into car sales, but now that I've experienced how hard it is to sell a car.... I definitely wont be taking that career path!

oh that sucks, same as here, if its not a holden or ford its not cool and slow (doesnt matter that its awesome on fuel and the million other things it has going for it).

What about a trade in? or your not getting something to replace it?

BI65ND

Trying to get something cheap so that I can put money aside for a house deposit. Asked a few dealers about back trading, but all I've been offered is 8000 for the 4mo, not for a car plus 8... bit of a joke. Most didnt want to touch it. But as they said, not really a car they can sell locally, and they'd just sell it off wholesale to get rid of it.

Yargh its tricky. I didn't know about 4mo Boros until I bought my Mk4 GTI (and thought bugger! I could have had VR6 AWD for only $1.5k more!!!)

Friends who consider themselves 'car guys' don't know what to make of the car either.
I'd love to take it off your hands, but I paid $17.5 for a MK4 GTI with 70,000kms this time last year... I doubt I'd get $15k for it today.

(I wouldn't say I regret buying the golf though... I love the Q-ship factor)
