Hi guys,

just putting out a feeler for my Modshack VTDA intake. had it since x-mas '08.

improves throttle response and the noise omg!!! People that have heard my car can vouch for the symphony that the car makes hehehe.

kinda broke atm, and going to NZ next month so need some extra cash.

Looking for $200 + shipping. Preferably Melb pickup/drop off. (bought off forum sponsor for $400)

Same intake has been fitted to a diesel Golf as well, so i would imaging it is adaptable across the MKV range that has a 3" MAF housing.

my quick googling couldn't identify if the MY08 Golf Pacific would take this? you mention a member here had it fitted with "custom piping"? do you mean custom piping for more fresh air like your pink hose? or custom piping from the unit to the engine?

sorry, from the 4th pic (the TDI) it looks like it uses the standard intake piping (i originally thought it was custom piping).

the according tube appears to have been stretched out to connect to the modshack.

Here is the link to the diesel fitted with this intake

Hi guys, that is my TDI.

You need a slightly longer silicone hose than the one supplied with the ModShack and you also need an irrigation spike to add in the vacuum hose. I shaved a little off the bracket to make it fit, but can remove it and replace with stock in under 10 mins now.

Any questions re the 2.0TDI and this - please ask.

i am looking to have West End diesel fit an Oettinger tune next week (will do the whole 1-day trial thing but already know i'll like it) and figured this would be a great mod if it helped with some induction noise and torque response as per other posts i have read.

so, a few questions on your tdi:-
1) mind if i get whoever fitted yours to fit mine?
2) do you have any thoughts of removing it at all (Apart from service times)?
3) were there any expensive items needed to have it fit?
4) has it affected fuel econ in any way?
5) do i need a dyno tune after fitting it?

1. I fitted it myself. Happy to help if you like.
2. Never remove it apart from services.
3. Everything to fit came with it, so as long as this comes with all the brackets the only thing you need is an irrigation spike ($1 from Bunnings)/
4. Economy is slightly improved, but I did some other mods to the MAF that may have helped.
5. No. As far as I can tell from the dyno charts before and after torque come in smoother and earlier - no actual power gain (2 different dynos though)

Hope that helps - this is a steal (Big Yellow owes me a beer if you buy it).
