A link to the web site www.piarc.com.au

Have a search around and there info about the day...

Bruce the instructor will be down there with his Mk1 16v racecar and he will be able to take you out and teach race craft and where to place you car on the track, where to brake, what gear, when and where to punch it...

Its an awsome day...

I help out as an officail at the track so it would be good to be see the VW banner being represented...

So whos coming??? Ausgolfer, GolfMan how abot EVOROBIN will he come over from S.A again...

Cheers James :)

BUMP! We're laggin behind Melbourne, anyone have something they're itching to do? If I hurry up and get my cams licence sorted and a new extinguisher I can go to the PIARC track day, but am also thinking of doing a different driver training day at Deca. So might have to organise another cruise in Melbourne.

if you do a GOR run it has to be an early start. Otherwise its just depressing getting stuck behind some knob in a 4wd

Just putting a last minute thought out there for members looking for a cruise.

Tomorrow (Saturday 10th), the Gippsland Car Club or putting on a twilight hillclimb meeting at Gippsland Park, Latrobe Road, Morwell.

Entry is free. Gippsland Park is approx. 160 klms from the CBD (about 1 hr 50 min). I've been there many times over a number of years, it's quite a tough little circuit.

I realise the trip down there and back is not exactly the most demanding drive but then any drive in a Golf is worthwile.

There is not much information on the Gippsland Car Club website www.gippslandcarclub.com.au about the event. I was alerted to the meeting from Fridays' Herald Sun motoring section.

The free entry l mentioned was in respect to spectators, not competitors.

There were a myriad of car clubs on show at the historic Phillip Island race meeting. No VW clubs......not one.

I reckon we should organise to have a vwwatercooled.org.au gathering at next years' event.

Actually, the best meeting of all, in my opinion, is Historic Winton, which is on the last weekend in May. I go every year because the Company l work for, WADE CAMS, is one of the sponsors. Keep it in mind. It's a great day.

Come on guys & girls, lets get our act together, we are damn near in april, and still havent had a meet this year! Other clubs are having weekly meets, and we havent got a bi-anual meet.
I'd organise one myself, except i dont have any idea on how to organise a cruise. I can organise a Meet though. How about. The MYOB building Carpark, corner of Springvale road, and Burwood hwy. Enty is off Lakeside drive, off the burwood hwy.
