hey everyone.

Very Regretful sale of my much loved 1994 VR6. Many of you already know the car and the mods it has. Selling only because i need the money for university text books, equipment and other various things.

Alot of money has gone into the VR in the time I have owned it.

anyway here is the list of mods and the oem parts I have replaced.

Engine

*181,000ks
*Timing chains and guides have been replaced late last year. During this process I had the valves replaced as well as the stem seals, etc...
*Powerchip
*Polished Inlet manifold
*BMC CDA
*RSD adjustable fuel pressure regulator
*Black Samco hose kit
*Magnecore leads
*MSD ignition setup
*New Air Flow Sensor
*New coolant crack pipe
*New thermostat housing
*New auxillary water pump
*Full cat back Remus exhaust
*Sachs clutch

Exterior

*Metalic Black
*Euro VR lip
*Badgeless grill
*Mk4 look headlights
*Kamie bumper air ducts
*Hella tinted front indicators
*Inpro tinted side indicators

Interior

*Yellow leather interior
*Dub Design Industries back lit dials
*MK4 R32 leather gear knob and boot
*42 Draft Design gauge holder
*VDO oil pressure guage
*US spec mk3 leather steering wheel
*Glovebox
*Alpine Ipod head unit
*Alpine Type R speakers
*New drivers side window reg and motor
*Euro headlight swith, with front and rear fog light

Suspension/Wheels

*Koni yellow adjustable shocks
*Eibach (black) springs
*Eibach front strut brace
*Rear strut brace
*Polyurethane control arm bushes
*Rare 17x7.5 BBS RN's
*312mm brake upgrade (possibly from an early TT)

A few things left to do...

*The aircon does not work. Being in tassie I never had the need for it so I have never checked out whats wrong.
*I have a brand new heater core for it but havnt installed it. (currently bypassed)
*The front bumper has seen better days. It has stone chips and so does the bonnet.
*Rear right hand side window doesnt go down. I havnt looked at it because I rarely have anyone in the back seat

All in all the car runs great and sounds fantastic with that Remus exhaust. Easily does 110 in second just before reaching its red line. The new MSD coil system works well. It seems to idle smoother. I have never dynoed it but at a guess if a standard VR pulls around 174hp, this one could well be around 190-200 mark, but thats just a guess

Im after $9,500. Sorry but I will NOT seperate parts. Any questions please feel free to ask.

Please, serious enquiries only!

Thankyou

Dude saw this on carsales this arvo, it's immaculate! It was part my inspiration for wanting a vr6 in the first place, not many like yours around.

Good luck with the sale.

Does the airbag still work (still connected?) even though it's not the stock wheel?

yea AusScare, air bag still works. It connects up all fine. Its and early MK3 wheel from the states. I was after a little something different but keeping the OEM+ theme and an airbag.

nothing was half done on this car. :)

Honestly, I'd be all over this is it wasn't for the leather. Are they custom re-trims or well-fitted overlay trims on the seats?

I do believe this popped up on carsales the other day.

I take it the previous buyer fell through?

I'm still semi keen on those rims too... mmmmm

The seats are a full custom retrim. No overlays here . the drivers seat does have some wear but the rest is like new.

MSD coil was relatively easy instal. I did my research on vortex and installed it properly with the Gruven bracket from FourSeason Tuning.

Friendly little Bump guys and girls.

I want to get the original 76 passat project underway and back on a motorbike for the summer days :)

Just a reminder that timing chains and guides have been replaced, as well as a full Samco Sport hose kit, fuel pump, air flow sensor, water pump and alot more.

VR6 with BBS, leather, Koni, Eibach, Powerchip, BMC CDA, Kamei.... whats not to like

What does it cost to send the car to the ACT?

I have been looking for another car to replace my high milege VR6, and none just hit the spot like the VR6.

Tried Mercs, Japanese ...

Cheaper to fly down and drive it back.

I had one transported to Sydney from Hobart, but the company paid for it. Over $800 from memory.

Yeah from ACT it would be cheaper to come down yourself :)

if anyones in the market for a VR, having the heater core replaced is reason enough to buy it anyway!
