I think this has been asked a few times before in various threads but I still can't find an answer -
Does anyone know where I can get a R32 rear bar from? Or does someone know what the part numbers are for it so I can get a quote from VW?
I've only seen the bar for sale from TM Tuning ( http://www.tmtuning.com/HOME/catalog/product_detail.php?default_product=1505 ) but its hideously expensive once you factor in the overseas freight and then there's a highly suspicious looking one for sale on ebay ( Item number: 120442987462 ) looks like some chinese copy )

Any panel beater shop can look it up on line for you. They have better parts access than VW :drinkbeer:

Ha!! Thats a laugh.
I have found VW parts people to be completely useless!! I wanted to get a lower section GTi front bar, you know that little tiny lip that sits at the bottom of the front GTi lip ( my GT only has the top part ) and they couldn't find it. They opened up some book with an exploded diagram of every part on the front the Golf from the base model to the R32 and said can you identify it here? I couldn't make up all the jumble in the picture and said I wasn't sure and he said well I can't help you. When I wanted to get the side skirts it was similar story- I manage to easily identify the part but wasn't sure what clips I needed to attach it and neither did they. God forbid if I actually get into an accident and need a genuine part.
