Dynamat Bulk Pack Group Buy

Hey guys,

There has been a Dynamat Xtreme bulk pack group buy organised for anyone who would like to get involved. Depending on stock you will recieve either the Bulk pack or 3x door kits - both add up to 36sq feet.

At the moment prices will be based on numbers ( of course ) and stands at:

$210 for 10 packs.
$200 for 20 packs - highly likely and postage included Aust wide.

While this seems like a lot of people, it is being run over a few forums. This buy is based out of Sydney. Packs are genuine Australian and are coming from FHRX studios in the Shire - not from flea bay or the like. Of course pick up is avaliable. :D

Thats very cheap.

Autobarn wants a stupid amoung for the bulk pack around $500 iirc and i got mine from ebay for $250 (shipping wasnt cheap becuase its heavy).

Thats insaine considering the RRP is AU$299 but US$300 :eek: for those is the states....

Bulk pack only weighs around 10-12kg packaged. Got mine in the 3x door kits and they added up to under 10kg ( just lol ) before the buy was organised which sucks.

Yeah I'm sure there is not much in it. A mate off another forum organised it and that was the best price he could get lol. We are trying to get people cheap packs as it is handy for any car! Currently putting a pack into the Lancer... I missed the group buy :frown:

I have access to Dynamat as well but the effort I would have to go through to get it wouldn't make it worth it. I focus on the hardware side of things, not the installations.

If you need something lighter you might also want to check out Accumat. Its a LOT lighter and does the same job. Its pricey though :(

At the moment we are just looking at EOI to see how many we are looking at. If the numbers are good we will work out exact shipping prices ( so you know ) and re-confirm numbers. Ill make an interested list lol.

Yeah mate, wont be going ahead just yet. We just looking into numbers and will see how we are going by the end of the month. By then if we get around 10 then we shall see if people want to go ahead or not.

Excuse me for my ignorance here, just another noob question - will Dynamat really improve the quietness of the cabin as depicted by Mr. Chip Foose on the Dynamat website? They seem to claim a 3dB to 9dB differnece !! That's huge !!

Does anyone have personal experience to vouch for such an improvement on isolating road noise and enhancing your audio system sound?

Yep but Louis is right I was very lucky found a guy selling them as he didn't need them at all, for a mk3 this is what 1 full bulkpack will do.

Please see the first post. They are coming from there. A mate has organised a deal with them to sell them cheap if we get numbers, this is of no benefit to me or the guy organising it all. If we get to 20 ( which is likely ) then it is only $200 for pick up in Sydney and not much more for postage for people up the east coast.

I bought an 2009 VRX Lancer which has a lot of road noise. Added a bulk pack and it was actually my mum that notice how much better it was. Now on freeway trips the mrs and I don't need to yell anymore.

UPDATE 23/6/08:
Timeframe: Due to a few people asking about a more specific time frame:

We'll look at locking the group buy in mid-july. This means all EOI will close mid July.
Deposits to confirm your packs will be asked for in the 3rd week of July (say 10%). At the end of the 3rd week we will have definate numbers locked in.

PM's will be sent at this stage finalising the price. Payments will be drawn out over 1 week, giving people until the end of July to make payments.

Delivery will be 1st week of August.

If there are any issues with this, or any questions/comments please post in this thread of pm me.

Once all is confirmed I will PM everyone the Mobile number and details of the guy organising it all. :biggrin:

Ok the cut off date has now been set at the 15th July. What will happen is everyone on the list will be contacted via PM before Monday with details. A deposit will need to be made within a week. They are both good and buy which one you can get a better deal on (ie this group buy is a great price!).

'Damplifier Pro' seems to be awesome stuff, guys in the USA are using it.

It is a bit late now but thanks for your input.

In a few tests done with the deadening they rate the same, you don't buy it for looks so then it comes down to price. I had stinger G-spot, it was rubbish.
