Hello mates,
Anybody has any pointers as how to break in the Petrol engine of our new Tiggy? I read on VW Vortex that you're not supposed to baby the engine too much, hope to hear from the guys that have some experience on this.
Cheers
Read what the manual says.... then just drive normally.

Thanks a lot mate's I think it's true, no babying the tiggy then. I have the chance to tune it to 265hp (don't know the numbers in KW) as I represent a european company over here, with my clients I always suggest to wait for 1000 kms, do you think it's not needed?
I have had clients done at less than 100 kms.
Thanks!

Off the subject a bit.! You mentioned your 125tsi is a 2010 model. Are there any visible changes exterior/interior and any spec changes in relation to the
2009 model???

I didn't notice anything Rocket, same looks as the 09 and the engine is the same as you guys CAWA, interior also seems the same, I'll take some good pics and share.
I didn't think the MY10's were started until week 24 or week 26?!?!

MY10 is meant to have some Golf VI upgrades such as steering wheel, white background lighting and MFD, heater controls. Possibly LED taillights. Rumour of 125kW diesel, but unlikely IMO.

I would have no problems flashing a car from new if it were my own. Customers, I am not sure you could trust them not to go too far.
1000/1500ks doesn't take long to drive.
By the way which company do you represent over there?

My chassis number states that it is 2010, when I ordered it on January they told me it was going to be 09, but as it's the first one with manual transmission over here maybe that is why I was lucky.

Sanman, I will upload some pics tomorrow and you may notice the changes, the dash is the same as 09, blue and there are no leds on my tail :(

The 125kw diesel has been available in Europe for ages now.

The homologation costs of an additional diesel motor when there's no real competiton makes it unlikely VWA will take it up
